Membership and governance

Membership is available to anyone wishing to participate in Huntingtons Queensland governance. Memberships are valid from 1 July to 30 June of the next year (12 months). Memberships can be paid over the phone by calling 07 3064 3222, or through our online form, found here.

About membership

Becoming a member allows you to vote on changes put forward by the board of directors. You can also nominate yourself or vote for others to serve on the board. All members must pay a membership fee of either $22 or $33 (inclusive of GST).

$22 covers an Individual Membership.

$33 covers a Family Nominee. A Family Nominee acts on behalf of their family in voting and other organisational matters.

Memberships are valid for one year. Membership payments are due on an annual basis near the start of the new financial year.

All new applicants must submit an application with payment, and a written statement outlining your interest in the organisation and reason for wanting to become a member. You will also need a first and second nominee to support your application, although you may wish for the board directors to act in this role. The board will review and vote on your application.

Everyone is welcome

We understand not everyone is interested in being a member. There is no need for you to apply for or renew membership if you do not wish to vote on board decisions or elect to serve on the board.

You can receive newsletters and other communications from the organisation without being a member.

Clients do not need to be members to receive services.

Please contact the organisation if you would like to vote on board decisions but cannot afford the fee, as we may be able to work something out for you.
