Huntingtons Queensland respects your privacy and values the relationship we have with you.

For the purposes of this policy, ‘personal information’ means information or an opinion (including information or an opinion forming part of a database), whether true or not, and whether in recorded in a material form or not, about any individual, client, family member, sponsor, donor, consumer, volunteer or any other person (excluding Huntingtons Queensland’s employees), whose identity is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained, from the information or opinion.

Security of information

When donating to Huntingtons Queensland online, your financial details will be passed through a secure server, which meets current industry standards.

Information gathered

Huntingtons Queensland gathers the following information about users:

(a) personal data that is provided voluntarily, including but not limited to when you engage our services as a client, family member or professional stakeholder, make a donation, sign up for communications collateral, or register for an event.

(b) aggregated data generated by our systems, which track traffic to and on our sites. This kind of data is not linked to you individually.

Personal information that Huntingtons Queensland may request might include (but is not limited to) your name, age, gender, location, and reason for contacting Huntingtons Queensland.

For some interactions (such as donations, membership payments or other payments) we may also request credit card or other financial information.

Aggregated tracking information helps us to determine which areas of the Huntingtons Queensland site visitors find most useful.  This helps us to provide a better and more responsive service to you.

Please note that failure to provide necessary personal information when requested may prevent Huntingtons Queensland from processing a donation or other payment.

Use of personal information

Huntingtons Queensland uses personal information to (a) provide services, (b) respond to your requests, (c) to communicate with you, (d) to provide you with current information, event notices and other communications collateral, (e) for internal administrative and analytical purposes, and (f) to comply with our legal obligations, policies and procedures.

We do not sell, rent or otherwise share your information with other organisations or companies without your permission.

Off-shore storing of your personal information

We use data hosting facilities to assist us with storing of personal information. As a result, your personal information may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside Australia.

If your personal information is collected using a collection notice that references this Privacy Policy, you are taken to consent to the disclosure, transfer, storing or processing of their personal information outside of Australia. You also acknowledge and understand that by providing such consent that we will not be required to take such steps as are reasonable in the circumstances to ensure such third parties comply with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Quality and correction of personal information

Huntingtons Queensland takes reasonable steps to ensure that personal information collected by Huntingtons Queensland is relevant for the purposes for which it is collected, and that information is accurate, complete and current. Direct marketing and privacy

Huntingtons Queensland is compliant with Australian Privacy Principles. We do not rent, sell or otherwise share personal information with any other organisation or company. Likewise, we will honour requests to cease sending marketing material when requested in writing by an individual.

Anonymity and pseudonymity

You have the right to deal with Huntingtons Queensland without using your true name. In doing so you may prevent us from providing particular services to you. If you choose to use all or part of your true name, your identity and personal information will be securely protected.

Other websites

Huntingtons Queensland’s website contains links to other sites, which may follow different privacy policies and practices. These sites may send their own cookies to you and as a result may collect data and ask for your personal information.

Huntingtons Queensland takes no responsibility for other sites, their policies or procedures, and accepts no liability or responsibility for any consequences that may arise from such contact.
